Battered and Bruised takes you on a musical journey from the bluesmen of the deep south to the hard men of Australian pub rock and all points
in between.
Aussie pub rock; hot, sweaty, hard and iconic, Battered and Bruised brings your journey to a crunching climax by playing classic Australian
songs by classic Australian bands. Rose Tattoo, The Easybeats, Billy Thorpe, The Angels and ACDC finish off the nights entertainment that not
only delivers a tight rhythm section, solid guitars with added slinky slide work, growling vocals and harp but humour and a touch of theatrics
thrown in for good measure.
With sets consisting of songs from the Delta by artists such as Muddy Waters and Sonny Boy Williamson, the Chicago Blues of Howlin Wolf and
R.L Burnside, to the Texas Blues of ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughan and The Fabulous Thunderbirds and on to the Southern Rock sound of
Credence Clearwater Revival, Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Georgia Satellites,
Battered and Bruised take you over the Atlantic Ocean and belt out songs by British Invasion bands, bands that were heavily influenced by the
blues, bands such as Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Bad Company and Led Zeppelin, bands that rejuvenated the blues and turned that
sound into Rock n Roll.
