'Lefty'
was
born
into
a
family
with
music
running
through
their
veins.
From
the
southern
suburbs
of
Sydney
Australia,
his
musical
influences
are
wide
and
varied
which
is
reflected
in
his
vast
repertoire
from
old
classics
to
modern
groove
based
tunes.He
started
by
playing
in
school
bands
then
moved
to
busking
in
Sydney's
Botanical
Gardens
as
a
16
year
old
with
initial
major
influences
from
Bob
Dylan,
Woody
Guthrie,
Donovan,
Don
Maclean,
Harry
Nilsson
later
moving
into
blues
bands
with
the
initial
influence
of
the
British
blues
invasion
of
the
60's.Currently
performing
with
his
band,
RUN
the
RED,
as
lead
vocalist
and
multi-
instrumentalist
(playing
keyboards,
guitar,
mandolin
and
blues
harp)
and
also
performing
in
various
duo
and
trio
combinations
including
with
his
son,
Joel
Leffler.The
latest
phase
of
his
musical
journey
has
been
performing
as
a
solo
artist
utilising
his
versatility
with
acoustic
guitars,
electric
guitar,
harmonicas,
looper
pedal
and
well-
produced
backing
tracks
(where
